  1. Vomiting : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Metoclopramide-like.
Selon KUMAR JB (2016) : Ethanol extract of 200 mg/kg inhibited the retches up to 73.761%, which inhibited emesis to an extent equal to Metoclopramide at 50mg/kg. Results: The results reveal the presence of bioactive constituents comprising alkaloids, flavonoids, phenolics, tannins, glycosides, steroids and saponins in different solvents and also have antiemetic potential comparable with that of the reference drug Metoclopramide.
  2. Cancer : Plant part used: Aerial parts. Documented pharmacological profile: 5-Fluoro-Uracile-like.
Selon Gurunagarajan S (2010) : Tumor was induced intraperitoneally using Ehrlich Ascites Carcinoma cells (1×106 cells/mouse). Br (EELN) on Ehrlich Ascites Carcinoma cell lines. Selon Veerabadran U (s.d.) : To investigate the antioxidant & antiproliferative potential of Leonotis nepetifolia leaves.
  3. Inflammation, rheumatic pain : Plant part used: Flower. Documented pharmacological profile: Diclofenac-crème-like.
Selon Manocha N (2012) : Manocha N et al, Anti-inflammatory & antirheumatic activity of the chemical constituents of Leonotis nepetifolia capitulum. Selon Parra-Delgado H (2004) : Several extracts of aerial parts of Leonotis nepetaefolia showed anti-inflammatory activity on TPA-induced edema model. Although the presence of leonotinin is in agreement with previous phytochemical studies of this species, this is the first time that its anti-inflammatory activity is determined.

Further indications (including other extraction modes where applicable), dosages, precautions for use and full scientific references are available in the complete monograph.
