  1. Bacterial infection : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Ciprofloxacine-like.
Selon Sunil J (2012) : coli), Klebsiella pneumoniae (K. pneumoniae), Staphylococcus aureus (S. Selon NINGSI P (2013) : NINGSI P et al, Uji Aktivitas Antibakteri Ekstrak Kental Tanaman Pisang Kepok Kuning (Musa paradisiaca-Linn.) terhadap Staphylococcus Aureus & E Coli, Jl Biol Univ Andalas, 2 (3): 207-13.
  2. Cancer : Plant part used: fruit peel.
Selon TIMSINA B (2014) : The anticancer activity of MP flower extract has been evaluated on the cervical cancer cell line HeLa. The antiproliferative effects were evaluated by MTT assay. Selon Bayala B (2020) : In addition, hydromethanolic extract of EH leaf twigs showed the best antiproliferative activity on LNCaP cell lines of prostate cancer while the hydromethanolic extract of the CSleaf stems showed the best antiproliferative activity on the HeLa cell lines of cervical cancer.
  3. Normalisation of serum parameters : Plant part used: Whole plant. Documented pharmacological profile: Silymarine-like.
Selon Verma P (2017) : The present study demonstrates that MP possesses hepatoprotective effects against CCl4- induced hepatotoxicity and that the effects are both preventive and curative. The present study aims to determine the effect of M paradisiaca on serum and tissue superoxide dismutase (SOD) levels & the histology in carbon tetrachloride (CCl4)-induced liver injury. Selon Reddy AJ (2018) : Conclusion: The results from this study suggest the presence of significant anticonvulsant activity in MSSE, in both acute & chronic PTZ-induced seizure models, which could be due to its antioxidant activity, as is reflected by the change in oxidative stress markers in brain. Background:Musa sapientum (banana) plant extract has been shown to possess antioxidant activity in previous studies.

Further indications (including other extraction modes where applicable), dosages, precautions for use and full scientific references are available in the complete monograph.
