  1. Bacterial infection : Plant part used: Flower. Documented pharmacological profile: Chloramphénicol-like.
Selon Fartyal M (2014) : The present study was designed to evaluate the antibacterial activity of crude extracts of Nerium oleander Crude extracts from different parts (root, stem & leaf) of the plant were extracted using polar (Water & Methanol) & Non-polar (Petroleum ether) solvents & were screened for antibacterial activity by „Disc Diffusion Assay‟ against three Gram negative bacteria (Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae & Agrobacterium tumifaciens) & two Gram positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis). subtilis found to be the most susceptible organism followed by K. Selon Erwich, E (2010) : Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa & Staphylococcus aureus were used as test bacterial strains.
  2. Fungal infection : Plant part used: Flower. Documented pharmacological profile: Nystatine-like.
Selon Mostaqul Huq (1999) : Mostaqul Huq et al, A novel antibacterial & cardiac steroid from the roots of Nerium oleander. Selon Namian P (2013) : Namian P et al, Screening of Biological Activities (Antioxidant, Antibacterial & Antitumor) of Nerium oleander Leaf & Flower Extracts, Am Jl of Phytomed & CLIN Therapeutics, 1(4), 2013, 378-84,.
  3. Cancer : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Cisplatine-like. Mentioned synergistic association: la Cisplatine.
Selon Block KL (2014) : Cases included 4 colon cancer patients, 3 pancreatic cancer patients (1 neuroendocrine & 2 adenocarcinoma), 1 renal cell carcinoma & 1 lung cancer patient. The renal cell patient experienced tumor regression for 12 months with the extract alone; the 3 pancreatic cancer patients & a colon cancer patient experienced disease stabilization. Selon Wen (2016) : In this review, we compile the phytochemical characteristics & anticancer activity of the cardenolides from this family,.
