1. Osteoarthritis, arthritis, rheumatism, oedema : Plant part used: Root. Documented pharmacological profile: Acide salicylique-like, Betamethasone-like, Zileuton-like.
   Selon LUHATA LP (2016) : These plants are known to be anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-hypertensive, anti-viral, hepatoprotective, sedative & anti-oxidant. Selon NITIEMA M (2024) : Aims: Our study aimed to investigate phytochemical groups with antihypertensive potential, antioxidant & anti-inflammatory properties, & the safety of using stems & roots hydroethanolic extracts.
2. Oxidative stress : Plant part used: Stem. Documented pharmacological profile: Acide ascorbique-like.
   Selon NITIEMA M (2024) : The two hydroethanolic extracts had antioxidant activity, with HE_ROS being the best. Aims: Our study aimed to investigate phytochemical groups with antihypertensive potential, antioxidant & anti-inflammatory properties, & the safety of using stems & roots hydroethanolic extracts. Selon Ouédraogo J.C.W (2017) : Ouédraogo J.C.W et al, Total phenolics & total flavonoid contents, antioxidant activity & flavonoids identification by high-performance liquid chromatography –tandem mass spectrometry of Odontonema strictum (Acanthaceae) leaves.
