  1. Bacterial infection : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Erythromycine-like, Acide Nalidixique-like.
    Selon Rahman S (2018) : whereas the methanol extract of O sanctum leaf showed higher antibacterial activity compared to CIP-5 against Staphylococcus aureus. The best MIC values were recorded to be 256 μg mg against Salmonella typhi for ethanol extract of O corniculata leaf & 128 μg mL against S aureus for the methanol extract of O sanctum leaf. Selon Auteur (2005) : Among the thirty plants, only eight (ethanolic extract) were showed considerable antibacterial & antifungal activity.
  2. Neurodegenerative disorders : Plant part used: Whole plant. Documented pharmacological profile: Carbidopa-like, Levodopa-like.
    Selon Senthil Kumar KK (2010) : extract against MPTP induced oxidative stress in mouse model of Parkinson’s disease. The standard drugs L-dopa + carbidopa combination also significantly restored the peroxides & antioxidant levels to near normal. Selon ARUNA K (2016) : Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a chronic, progressive neurological disorder.
  3. Anxiety, nervousness, stress : Plant part used: Whole plant. Documented pharmacological profile: Diazepam-like.
    Selon Sai Sampath T (2011) : In addition, these results were found to be consistent with anxiolytic effect produced by Diazepam The study is to evaluate anxiolytic effect of Ethanolic extract of O corniculata Linn. The anxiolytic effect of Ethanolic extract of Oxalis corniculata Linn. Selon Gupta G (2012) : Diazepam 1 mg/kg served as a standard anxiolytic drug, administered intraperitoneally.
