   Selon Reejo EB (2014) : Evaluation of active compounds from the methanolic extract of SS for their antidiabetic activities may paw the way for the identification of a new class of phytochemical for the treatment of diabetes mellitus. Several drugs such as biguanides & sulfonylureas are presently available to reduce hyperglycemia in diabetes mellitus.
