  1. Pain, hyperalgesia : Plant part used: Seed. Documented pharmacological profile: Aspirine-like.
    Selon Popeta RD (2016) : The present study intended to evaluate analgesic activity of ethanolic extract of SF flowers. The seeds of SF have been reported to have analgesic & anti-inflammatory activity.
  2. Psychotic state : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Chlorpromazine-like, Largactil-like.
  3. Osteoarthritis, arthritis, rheumatism, oedema : Plant part used: Sheet. Documented pharmacological profile: Indometacine-like.
    Selon Uddin I (2016) : In carrageenan induced rat paw edema model methanolic extract of SF bark (MESF) 1000 mg/kg showed highly significant anti-edematogenic effect at 3rd hr with % oedema inhibition of 50%. Anti-inflammatory activity was tested against carrageenan induced rat paw edema. Selon Mujumdar A (2000) : The extract also exhibited significant antiinflammatory activity in the acute carrageenan-induced rat paw edema & the chronic granuloma pouch models.
