1. Diabète mellitus de type II : Partie usitée : Semence. Profil pharmacologique documenté : Acarbose-like.
   Selon Ghate R (2014) : catechu flowers have shown a significant antidiabetic efficacy in alloxan induced diabetic rats. catechu flowers were administrated orally at the dose of 500 mg/kg for hypoglycemic effect in alloxan induced diabetic rats for 21 d. Selon Sahane RS (2013) : Diabetes mellitus was induced in rats by High fat diet, high fat emulsion & intraperitoneal injection of Streptozotocin (STZ, 35mg/kg body weight).
2. Stress oxydatif : Partie usitée : Noix. Profil pharmacologique documenté : Acide ascorbique-like.
   Selon Sanpinit S (2023) : Antioxidant activities were determined using DPPH, ABTS, TPC, TFC, FRAP, NBT, MCA, & ORAC assays. In addition, the SAR analysis indicated that prenyl arabinosyl-(1-6)-glucoside & quinic acid were the primary antioxidant compounds in the Tri-Yannarose extract. Selon Sahane RS (2013) : It was found that the extract shows significant effects on blood glucose, cholesterol, triglycerides & antioxidant parameters.
3. Cancer : Partie usitée : Semence.
   Selon Meiyanto (2003) : These results conclude that Areca catechu seed ethanolic extract (EP) possesses antiproliferative effect through growth inhibition & apoptosis induction. This research therefore addressed to examine the inhibitory effect of Areca catechu seed ethanolic extract (EP) on proliferating breast cancer cells, MCF-7. Selon Sari ML (2017) : This study was undertaken to assess the anticancer potential of areca nut extract on human squamous carcinoma (HSC)-3, HSC-2 & human keratinocyte (HaCat) cancer cell lines, and to elucidate the mechanism of its action.
