According to Hevesi BT (2009): parviflorum with respect to its antioxidant and antiinflammatory effects. According to Granica S (2014): were shown to possess antimicrobial, anti-proliferative, anti-inflammatory, analgesic & antioxidative activities. - Cancer : Plant part used: Seed.
According to AKBUDAk A A (2002): Although their benefits have been demonstrated on certain types of cancer cells, such as prostate cancer cells, their potential antiproliferative effects on colorectal adenocarcinoma cells have yet to be studied. Our results confirmed that aqueous & ethanolic EP extracts can eliminate proliferation of human colorectal carcinoma cells in vitro. According to Hatefi Kia B (2021): Epilobium parviflorum extracts have shown promising therapeutic effects on prostate cancer cells. - Bacterial infection : Plant part used: Sheet.
According to Bajer F (2017): The antimicrobial activity of the distilled essential oil and the remaining aromatic water was evaluated against five microorganisms (Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa & Candida albicans) using microdilution method. Results showed significant antibacterial activity against tested bacteria & yeast. According to Tóth B Hevesi (2009): Both the water & ethanol extracts of Hypoxis hemerocallidea & Epilobium parviflorum inhibited the growth of Escherichia coli.
